Since the brand relaunched in 2014, Oatly has been growing in popularity all over the world. Part of this is timing, thanks to the increase in demand for plant-based alternatives, but it stands out in the quality and diversity of its oat-based products. To continue to meet this consistently growing demand, the business is increasing its global production capacity.
The team at Oatly had already decided that automation was going to be essential for any new production capacity, and knew that Tetra Pak had extensive expertise in this field. After looking at various automation solutions, Oatly decided to implement Tetra Pak PlantMaster at all production sites.
“We really appreciate that Tetra Pak has been such a driving force in finding the best solution for us. Everyone on the team have been very engaged and we wouldn’t have been where we are now without their help and dedication,” says Fredrik Gustavsson, Vice President Engineering & Automation.
For Oatly, automation is at the centre of its growth strategy for the coming years, as it opens new production sites while increasing capacity at existing premises.
Find out exactly how PlantMaster and Tetra Pak are helping Oatly with its quest to expand, and how implementation affected production efficiency, in the full case story.
