IRAN
Tetra Pak customer Sahar has launched rice pudding in Tetra Brik® Aseptic 125 Slim, the first time the dessert has been packaged in a ready-to-drink format.
Sahar is the main co-packer in Iran working with prominent domestic and international brands in the dairy segment such as Danone, Damdaran and Manizan. Tetra Pak Iran has been supporting their activities to create a new range of products in the dairy desserts category where our packages up to this point have not been present.
"Being one of our oldest customers, I am very excited that Sahar has invested in a Tetra Pak® A3/CompactFlex filling line to run both Tetra Brik Aseptic 125 Slim with a Quick Change to Tetra Brik Aseptic 100 Base, which is a new package size in the Iranian market," said Gary Zeller, Managing Director for Tetra Pak Iran. "This also allows Sahar and Tetra Pak to enter categories with cheese and cream in single serve portion sizes, as well as to offer flavored milk in smaller packs that fits better for kids and the new emerging social economic segment."
Sahar founder Mehdi Tabatabaei said both profitability and affordability remain the biggest challenge ahead for producers and consumers in the competitive landscape of Iranian dairy industry.
"By introducing value added products in new single serve packages, Sahar Dairy is trying to address both of these needs at the same time and to create more value for our brand, and it's co-packing partners," he added.
