Reducing water consumption

A company in California faced stringent new water regulations. It needed to avoid being classified as a significant water user, to avoid more inspections, additional costs, and a big hit to profitability. By installing the Water Filtering Station (WFS)™, it was able to reduce its water consumption to just 25% of what it had been. The company saved 17.5 million litres of water per year and quickly repaid the investment.

The ACHx30 Slope Chain Top™ improves the performance of older Accumulator Helix 30™ equipment using technology from our latest developments. When moving through the accumulator, smaller and lighter packages can fall or get stuck, creating problems for overall line efficiency. By introducing our latest innovation to existing equipment, this upgrade increases MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) by up to 75% – and with it, overall line performance.

Reducing waste and downtime while improving product quality

The Vision Unit™ is designed to enhance performance of the Cardboard Packer 32™. It detects if the cardboard tray is correctly aligned before moving packages into the tray, thereby avoiding package crashes. It also examines the tray from above to detect if a package has fallen, is twisted, misaligned or even missing.

In this way downtime due to tray misalignment is reduced, along with associated waste and cleaning. Quality is significantly improved, and the upgrade helps prevent the costs of repacking or replacing product for retailers – as well as the equipment wear and tear that is avoided by reducing crashes, splashes and cleaning.
