Ice Cream Position Assist is a digital monitoring application that makes it easier to avoid that products go to waste. Laser sensors are used to measure the position of products and sticks, and operators are alerted if there are any issues.
Reduced waste
Ice cream products in the wrong position on trays – that equals problems further down the process. And if errors aren’t discovered until products reach the Pick & Place station, the products that are already in the hardening tunnel also go to waste. With Ice Cream Position Assist, issues are detected early. The operator gets an alert and can make corrections – before a lot of products enter the hardening tunnel.
Improving product appearance
Product quality is also about appearance – and with a misplaced stick, the first impression of an ice cream product is not the best. Potential problems include sticks being inserted at the wrong height, and sticks “sinking” in soft ice cream.
