This water originates from the well that produced Ireland’s first mineral water - one of the purest natural sources in the world. The Global Hydrate source won 7 international Gold medals for taste and excellence in blind tasting by The British Bottlers Institute.
Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd produces its own brand carton products in both 500ml and 330ml Tetra Top® packs under the Global Hydrate® and Captain Hydrate® brands as well as offering a co-packing service for a number of companies who wish to offer this package style.
"Our water comes from an award-winning source and as a company we are passionate about providing our customers with products with which we feel they would be proud to be seen. Our investment in a Tetra Top® line delivered just that – a superb water in a package that sets the standard for the industry in terms of sustainability with its 88% plant based materials based on paperboard and sugar cane from responsibly managed sources.
Aside from the environmental credentials of the carton, it also maximizes the space available to our designers to get our message across. Since its introduction, we have had a lot of positive feedback from consumers indicating various other benefits of the carton that we had not even considered in our original analysis – easier to drink from with its larger opening, stays cooler longer vs. plastic bottle, etc. Feedback like that from the consumer is particularly rewarding and reinforces our belief in this package as a mainstream solution."

Meet the Christinen Brand!
Meet the Christinen brand by Gehring Bunte which chose Tetra Pak carton packages for its still mineral water and baby water in Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 500 Square carton package. The company also sells a baby water which comes in the more classic rectangular-shaped Tetra Brik® Aseptic 1-litre size.
The package design fully utilises the 360-degree printable surface for its branding and the still mineral water design. The shiny finish gives a fresh, modern and premium image. The portion package featured here, has an ergonomic shape for great portability.
“Tetra Pak fulfils the need for modern and sustainable carton packaging for beverages.
Durability, resealability and low weight correspond to the desire of our consumers for a more convenient way of life.”

Meet Stiftsquelle!
In 2019, their Landpark brand, for plain and flavoured waters in Tetra Pak carton packages, was recognised for convenience and won the Vending Star award. In the same year, the brand also scooped Best Carton at the Global Bottled Water Awards!
Since then, the brand has moved its entire Landpark water range to plant-based packaging by Tetra Pak and was first to use the Carbon TrustTM logo in Germany - a bold move for Stiftsquelle and an even bolder one for the environment.
Landpark has recently extended its product range, introducing new flavours such as apple, pomegranate, and acai.
"At Stiftsquelle, we take our commitment to a more sustainable future seriously. This is evident in everything we do. For example, we wash our trucks with rainwater, and our salespeople drive electric cars.
The partnership with Tetra Pak fits perfectly with our philosophy and our commitment to become more sustainable all round, and that starts with the packaging of our drinks.”

Meet ÖselBirch!
This brand introduced Tetra Pak carton packages to get noticed and uses the 360-degree surface for its brand storytelling and to bring consumers an exciting beverage made from birch water, a slightly sweet, low-calorie, low-sugar beverage that’s especially high in magnesium, manganese, and antioxidants. These properties are also thought to boost skin and hair health.
The two beverages featured here, 100% Birch water and Birch Water with Nordic Sea buckthorn and exotic pineapple, are packaged in the mainly plant-based Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 330 Square carton packages with an ergonomic mainly plant-based drink-from opening.
A Package That Tells Their Story
The design uses Craft paperboard for a natural look and visual distinction on the shelves. In addition, by using a creative infographic on the back panel, Öselbirch tells its brand story to consumers. With a dynamic QR code on the package, consumers are able to scan to learn more about the brand’s sustainability credentials and engage further with the brand through promotional activities.
The carton package is mainly made of plant-based materials; the paperboard content is FSC™-certified and by switching to packaging and a cap made of plant-based plastic from sugar-cane, the carbon footprint of the package has been reduced by 20% – all certified by Carbon Trust™.
“ÖselBirch is a healthy birch water brand from Estonia. We switched to Tetra Pak because birch water is a product that requires explanation and there is enough space on the Tetra Pak carton package. We communicate with graphic details where birch water comes from, about our tradition and the person who inspired us - our - our grandma! And what doesn’t fit on the packaging can be communicated using the dynamic QR code. The new packaging has finally opened the door to German retail for us!
Sustainability is also very important to us and with our new packaging we are much more environmentally friendly and save a lot of CO2. Tetra Pak ticked a lot of boxes for us and now we have on-the-go packaging that is more environmentally friendly, looks good and communicates everything important to customers.”

Tetra Prisma® Aseptic
A Masterpiece in Branded Packaged Water
Thyssen Museum in Madrid, Spain, offers its visitors water packaged in Tetra Prisma® Aseptic packages to quench tourists’ thirst, although many people like them as a collectible or souvenir to take home.
The museum prints its house brand and messaging on the packages, making the most of our small production runs and ability to be able to print up to six designs at a time for this packaging format.
The designs, all of which are famous paintings by artists such as Wellflet, Van Gogh, Canaletto and Sonia Delaunay, can be printed all over the packages 360-degrees, taking full advantage of all the surfaces, unlike other forms of beverage packaging which do not have this flexibility.
