Machine for evenly distributing curd to block forming tower
Tetra Pak® Curd Distribution Tank (CDT) is used to mix and distribute an even amount of curd to each of your downstream equipment. Curd is either air blown or augured into the CDT from the draining/salting belt and is uniformly distributed to the block forming towers.
Capacity:
Supplied in a wide range of capacities to match your upstream equipment
Applications:
Cheddar
Paddle
The paddle revolves around the central cone of the tank, keeping the curd moving and ensuring that every block former is served with an even amount of product.
Patented Q-Seal
This unique seal was originally invented for use in Tetra Pak® cheese vats, but is now also used in this tank. Thanks to a Q-shaped cross section, it creates a watertight connection between the cone and the shaft inside the tank. This eliminates the risk of leaked product interfering with the workings of the drive – thus enabling it to be placed directly beneath the tank, which in turn enables a smaller machine footprint.
Level sensor
A sensor in the tank detects the level of curds, and only activates the filling sequence when there is sufficient product to start filling the block formers. This not only saves energy, but also prevents curd from cooling down.
