The Tetra Pak® Food Processor achieves efficient processing of low to high viscous and smooth to particulate products. It comes in two different models; Tetra Pak Food Processor V series and Tetra Pak Food Processor with a horizontal helix agitator.
Capacity
Applications
Ready meals, soups, broths, fruit preparations, jams and marmalades, traditional and international dishes, sauces and pastes, confectionery
Double shaft agitator
The agitator’s counter-rotating double shafts reach all vessel areas to create a homogenous blend regardless of viscosity. A dynamic stator system and variable shear handle sensitive particles and ensure even particle distribution.
Closed vessel design
The closed vessel setup gives the possibility to control steam evaporation and thus regulate the recipe and its taste. The closed vessel also recovers aromas that evaporate with the steam. These can be added back into the product or retained for use in other foods.
Smart automation with auto chef
Auto chef is the intuitive automation brain at the heart of the food processor. Based on the Tetra Pak® PlantMaster automation system and the product, it provides complete recipe management and can store up to 800 recipes. It gives full process control over time, temperature, viscosity and other key parameters. It also enables traceability throughout the production chain.
Equipment built to last
The highly robust stainless steel construction is built to run and run. Issues are reported only very rarely, and service and maintenance needs are low.
Automated cleaning-in-place
The entire system can be cleaned in place. A specially designed flush barrier allows full CIP of the dynamic stator, while strategically positioned injectable CIP nozzles ensure effective cleaning of both sides of double-shaft agitator. The blender is compatible with both local and central CIP, such as Tetra Pak CIP Module, and has built-in CIP protocols for complete mixer cleaning. CIP programming can also be customized for specialist needs.
Flexible control system
Both standalone and line control setup are supported. Simply select an Allen Bradley or Siemens local programmable logic controller (PLC) or a human machine interface (HMI). A standalone setup includes full control and recipe handling via local HMI. Pre-wired instruments and components are designed to ensure plug-and-play operation.
Tetra Pak Food Processor with horizontal helix agitator
Ingredients is either pumped through a product inlet or fed manually into the manhole. If needed, the ingredients can be thawed before the heating process starts. The heating process is controlled by the recipe management system, with pre-set recipes to ensure food safety and repeatability. Depending on the product being processed, it can be evaporated, deaerated or flash cooled. The next step is cooling to the right temperature prior to emptying the tank – either with a pump, or by overpressure. If the equipment is a part of a continuous process, the product is simply transported directly to the next step without cooling. Cleaning is done with an external CIP system or internal (manually).
