Tetra Pak® Pasteurizer D Base is specially developed for dairies with a need for a production capacity of up to 15,000 l/h. Even with this more simple pasteurizer, the operator can enjoy the benefits that smart control gives with the latest automation platform from Tetra Pak. With intelligent automation, the pasteurizer enhances both machine and human capabilities. The unit is created with operators at every level in mind, which makes it easy and safe to use and simpler to maintain with minimal downtime. Advanced automated control over production and safe operation ensure that the unit gives reliable results time after time. Tetra Pak Pasteurizer D Base therefore provides high levels of food safety.
Quick facts
Specially developed for dairies with a need for a production capacity of up to 15,000 l/h.
Capacity
Up to 15,000 l/h of milk.
Applications
Designed for continuous processing and pasteurization of market milk, yoghurt milk, cream and other low acid liquid dairy products.
Application-specific designs
The unit is configured with a simple design based on standardized building blocks. Though simple, it has fully automated control and can be configured with either integrated CIP or connected to a CIP station. Standardized solutions give value for money and are simple to order.
The pasteurizer is designed for low viscous dairy applications and offered with the following capacity ranges:
Full production overview
Advanced automated control ensures reliable results time after time. The heating unit is controlled and monitored from the large screen of the operator panel. Thanks to the automated system, all the operator needs to do is select the pre-set parameters and required functions. The unit will continuously log pasteurization temperature, flow and the position of the flow diversion valve. This logging system also stores useful production data for traceability purposes.
Pressure differential
A booster pump creates a differential pressure between the pasteurized and unpasteurized side of the unit to minimize the risk of contamination. To further enhance safety, this differential can be monitored by optional pressure transmitters. If these transmitters register that the differential has been lost, the product is automatically diverted back to the balance tank for recirculation.
Integrated CIP system
The optional internal CIP (Cleaning in Place) system enables automated cleaning of the pasteurizer and connected sub-units, such as separator or homogenizer. The whole line can be cleaned with one CIP program, which is easily selected and started from the integrated CIP recipe manager in the pasteurizer.
A smart heat exchanger bypass system is a standard feature in the pasteurizer. This will significantly reduce the time it takes to heat up the unit before CIP can start.
Compact yet service friendly design
The unit is created with operators in mind, which makes it easy and safe to use and simple to maintain. The footprint has been minimized by integrating the holding cell neatly on top of the unit. Despite being compact, the design remains service-friendly with dedicated “step-in” areas at strategic points.
