Tetra Pak joined hands with Bal Vikas Dhara to raise awareness
among waste pickers about the value of used cartons
and the additional income that they can generate by collecting
these used cartons and selling them to a recycler. The
NGO also helps educate the children of these families and
train the women in vocational skills.
Tetra Pak, in association with Wasted 360 Solutions, a
creative waste management social venture, initiated the
‘Take Me Back’ campaign in Chennai that not only helps
raise awareness about the importance of efficient waste
segregation and recycling of used cartons, but also demonstrates
how recycling can be a catalyst for the socio-economic
development for the lesser privileged.
