With the unique Tetra Pak® Low Temperature kit for Continuous Freezer, it becomes possible to make the ice cream colder. Freezing the product by up to an additional -2°C makes it possible to reduce energy consumption. The solution also improves the texture and mouthfeel of the final product, and opens up great possibilities to explore new recipes.

Cost and energy-efficient freezers

With the Tetra Pak Low Temperature kit for Continuous Freezer, the production process becomes more energy-efficient. Less energy is required for churning, and the product spends less time in the hardening tunnel. This means that less energy is consumed by the tunnel’s cooling system and the air circulation fans – and it also enables a higher production capacity.

Enhanced texture and mouthfeel

The variable dasher speed optimises agitation, which ensures a gentler handling of the product. The ice cream is colder, resulting in higher product viscosity – which in turn gives a better mouthfeel. Optimised agitation in combination with the kit design enable new and more challenging recipes, where it is difficult to find the right agitation balance. This makes it possible to expand the product range on existing equipment.
