The entire Tetra Pak carton package, including the straws or caps are recyclable. Simply push the straw back in or keep the cap on the carton package after drinking, then Flip-Flap-Flat the carton before sending it for recycling. This helps reduce the amount of space the empty carton takes up and makes transportation more efficient.
Recycle Easy is a one-stop site that helps interested individuals, businesses and schools identify collection points for our beverage cartons. Supported by the CAREton Project, Recycle Easy was created to make recycling convenient and easy for consumers.
Check your local recycling facilities. There might be a recycling station nearby, or a street collection system in your neighborhood. If such facilities exist, but do not accept used beverage cartons, add them to our Recycle Easy map and we'll get in touch with them! We may be able to work with them together with the local authorities to improve carton recycling access in your neighborhood.
Under the waste separation at source scheme implemented under Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007 (Act 672) which is enforced in the following states and Federal Territories: Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Kedah and Perlis, used beverage cartons are categorised under the recyclables – within the ‘Paper’ category.
