Our Products
We are specialists in complete solutions for the processing, packaging and distribution of food products. Our solutions are specifically designed to be as economical with resources as possible. Dairy products, beverages, ice cream, cheese, food and vegetables and pet food are examples of products that can be processed or packaged in Tetra Pak® processing and packaging lines. We focus on keeping the consumption of all raw materials and energy to a minimum during both the manufacturing process and distribution. The processing solutions are also designed to treat the products gently.

Profile of Board of Directors of the Company

Syed Babar Ali

As an entrepreneur and industrialist, Syed Babar Ali envisioned and set up Packages Limited (Pakistan’s largest paper & board mill), Milkpak Limited–now Nestlé Pakistan Limited (the largest food processing company in Pakistan); Tetra Pak Pakistan Limited, IGI Insurance Company Limited, Tri-Pack Films Limited, and IGI Investment Bank. He is Chairman of Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited, Siemens Pakistan Engineering Company Limited, and Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited. He believes in the joint venture philosophy and most of his businesses are joint ventures with major multinationals.

As an educationist, he led the establishment of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in 1985 of which he is the first Pro-Chancellor. LUMS is Pakistan’s premier management education institution. In 1992, he founded Ali Institute of Education for training of primary and secondary school teachers. He is a member of the Board of the following important educational institutions of Lahore: Aitchison College, Kinnaird College, and Lahore School of Economics. He is also a Founding Member of the South Asia Initiative of Harvard University and the Co-Chair of South Asia Centre for Policy Studies currently based in Nepal. He served as Pakistan’s Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs & Planning in 1993.

He promoted the cause of the World Wide Fund for Nature (earlier World Wildlife Fund) where he served in various capacities, both in Pakistan and internationally, from 1972 to 1996. He was International President of WWF from 1996 to 1999 succeeding HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. He is now Vice President Emeritus, WWF International, and President Emeritus WWF-Pakistan.

He set up Babar Ali Foundation in 1985. The Foundation gives about a million dollars a year primarily for education and health in Pakistan. He is also a member of Layton Rehmatullah Benevolent Trust Karachi and Shalamar Hospital Lahore.He received honours and awards from the Government of Sweden, the Netherlands, an OBE from Britain (1997), and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Laws from McGill University, Montreal, Canada (1997).

Awais Bin Nasim has been the lead person in organizations for Operations, Business Development and Organization Development with a wide range of experience in various sectors mainly Food Packaging and Petrochemical spanning over 27 years. Have an extensive experience in Agriculture sector as well with various organizations for introducing high efficiency drip irrigation system and greenhouse farming in Pakistan. Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from LUMS.

For the last 10 years working in Tetra Pak and for the last 6 years have been the Vice President of Services Operation for Greater Middle East and Africa. Heading a team of 600 people across the region. Have been the key member for leading business model change for the Services Operation in Tetra Pak with 3 successful waves of Organizations design and optimization across the global organization.

Misbah Hassan Burney

Misbah Hassan Burney holds more than 22 years of financial management experience involving business activities across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.

Misbah started his career as CFO, Tetra Pak Export (TPX), based out of Dubai and played a crucial role in establishing its trading operations across the region. TPX was successfully scaled into large-scale, multi-country operations. It posed several opportunities and challenges in an international business environment. Various markets & trading models were implemented, successfully managing cross border complexities and diverse set of stakeholders. Misbah led in the creation of a high-performing, multi-country, and a multi-cultural organization. TPX quickly expanded to +20 countries across the region and continues to act as backbone for Tetra Pak’s trading activities in the region.

Misbah is currently based in Pakistan as Business Control & Finance Director for Pakistan & Afghanistan operations. His earlier assignment covered the breadth of operations in the MENA region. Whilst his current role deep dives into significant-sized market with its own converting factory operations.

In his current role he continues to help capture numerous opportunities and address challenges around category & customers, new business development, capacity expansions, global restructurings, and recycling initiatives. Over the course of his assignment Misbah has led development of a robust finance team and led Supplier Management, Facilities & Real Estate Management (FREM) and IT functions and established & lead in-house Legal function of the company. He works closely with global functions to help deliver company’s long-term strategy as well as with key players in the liquid food industry. Misbah helped shape Pakistan Dairy Associations (previously named as Dairy Pakistan) charter in its infancy days. In 2004, Misbah collaborated with industry stakeholders and researchers to develop the Dairy Vision of Pakistan. He has led several advocacy related initiatives for fiscal policy reforms for both liquid food and packaging industry.

Misbah has also held several overlapping responsibilities in the MENA region. He helped establish the regional Finance function at its inception in 2004. His roles have included designing and implantation of performance management and business control structures, supporting annual planning cycles, review of capital projects, compliance of global commercial policies and several change management projects. He has also been involved in planning regional trade flows, execution of Tetra Laval (TL) global tax policies and implementation of the TL global risk management structures. Misbah has also led regions treasury operations and implemented several initiatives under (TL) global cash strategies. He has helped deliver various green field leasing & vendor financing solutions for the customers. He has closely worked with Swedish Business Guarantee Agency EKN and executed several projects with EKN guarantees. He has also helped establish export controls and driven compliances of various export laws related to trade embargos across the Globe. Misbah has also led feasibilities for acquisitions and capacity expansions in the region.

Tetra Pak Pakistan won “Market company of the year” award by Global Management for outstanding performance in 2006 & runners-up in same category in 2004 & 2005.

Business Control & Finance function reached the world class level benchmark in 2018, and we are only the second company to achieve “Digital World Class” in 2022 according to Hackett Groups assessment (the leading enterprise benchmark firm). This is result of a two-decade journey of continuous improvement.

Tetra Pak Pakistan awarded “Top 50 taxpayers award” in 2018 & “Tax Excellence Award” in 2023 by the Government of Pakistan.

He has served on TPX, TPP and Regional/ Global BC&F management teams since 2003.

He is part of the Global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) reference group since 2018.

He has served on several Tax sub-committees of various trade associations/ institutions.

Misbah has keen interest in art & calligraphy.

Misbah is member of Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW), and, Institute of Chartered Accounts, Pakistan (ICAP).

Muhammad Waqas Ali

“Muhammad Waqas Ali holds +15 years of manufacturing and management experience in Tetra Pak. He started his career with Tetra Pak in 2008 and participated in New Factory Project. He was instrumental in setting up engineering strategies for reliable operations of Tetra Pak Lahore factory. Waqas has successfully completed various projects of production waste reduction, equipment efficiency increases in Greater Middle East & Africa cluster, implemented various Good Manufacturing Practices across regional factories. As Factory Director South Africa, he carried out €25 mio investment of factory upgrade involving building construction, and installation & commissioning of various production machines. Waqas is a member of Europe Middle East & Africa regional leadership team since 2021. He is an Electrical Engineer with an MBA degree in Finance & Marketing.”

Tetra Pak Pakistan Scoops Advanced Special Award for Manufacturing Excellence 

Lahore, Pakistan, 22 March 2018 – Tetra Pak Pakistan’s packaging material factory in Lahore has received the prestigious JIPM Advanced Special Award for manufacturing excellence. In doing so, it becomes the only factory in Pakistan to win this award.

Appraised by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, the Award is presented to facilities that have achieved outstanding levels of production quality, reliability, efficiency and environmental performance.
