Built to increase production efficiency, the Tetra Pak® Screw Conveyor ET conveys and doses dry products – granulated or powdered ingredients – in the food industry. It is robust, cost effective with heavy duty execution, and a high outflow rate. Constructed of stainless steel, the design is hygienic. Pressurized air makes sure no powder enters the bearings and a sanitary gap between the motor and bearing unit prevents product from oil contamination.
Quick facts
Designed to convey and/or dose any type of granulated or powder components over short distances in common food applications.
Capacity
Flowrate: from 0.2 m3/h to 53 m3/h
Dosing accuracy: from 0.05 dm3 to 3 dm3 (linked to capacity)
Stainless steel design
The Tetra Pak® Screw Conveyor HD ET is made of solid stainless steel – it does not have a hollow body – and it features automatic welding of the coil on both sides. The design also includes safety sensors, while the pressurized bearings concept ensures that powder cannot enter the bearings and that lubricants cannot contaminate the product.
Direct-coupled gear motor
There is a gap between the direct-coupled gear motor and the bearings. This ensures there is no contamination from lubricants inside the heavy-duty screw (internal shaft), which is driven by the motor. To adjust the speed for fine dosing, the gear motor can be connected to a frequency inverter. The gear motor can also be mounted vertically to save space.
Quick-coupling shaft design
The quick-coupling shaft design makes it easy to install the screw conveyor. And it’s easy to dismount too, which facilitates quick and efficient cleaning.
Screw pitch
There is very limited product retention. The screw pitch regulates flow and ensures there is no product compression. Thanks to the design and mechanical sizing, there is no metal-to-metal contact. This improves equipment safety.
