Unit for inserting unbundled sticks (packed in bulk cartons) into moulded ice creams
Capacity:
Up to 30 strokes/min or 40,000 products/hr
Applications:
Straight or paddle, round, single/twin and specialty sticks (in cie creams, slush ices and water ices)
Backup stick magazine
If the stick supply is interrupted by, for example, an off-spec stick, a built-in sensor detects the lack of motion and activates the back-up stick magazine instead. This occurs without any break in production.
High capacity stacker (multi)
The high capacity stacker takes the sticks from the boxes and neatly organises them into the vertical feeding stack. This makes it possible to insert 42 000 sticks per hour, or up to 30 strokes per minute.
Servo controlled belt
The combination of servo controls with precisely positioned grooves on the belt makes it possible to catch the sticks and deliver them in exactly the right position, even at very high speeds.
Insertion mechanism
This feature reduces the unit’s sensitivity to deviations in operating parameters. Even if the stick is not inserted in the perfect position on the mould table, it will still be positioned correctly in the product for pick-up, and the machine will continue to function.
User-friendly operator panel
Pre-set recipes for each product are stored in the control system, so operating staff just have to press a single button at start-up. The system continuously monitors stacking and dispensing operations, and sounds the alarm if – for example - a stick is missing. The operator can then immediately address the problem, and production continues with the support of the back up magazine.
