Tetra Pak® Standardization unit has a unique ability to standardize not only fat content but also solids-non-fat, total solids and protein, thanks to built-in software which regulates the mass balance. This feature is valuable when making cheese milk, for example, since the ratio of fat and protein entering the cheese vats has to be highly controlled in order to achieve consistent product quality.

Minimizes cream give-away, maximizes profit

High performance measuring instruments send signals to a powerful computer, which rapidly makes calculations and instructs the regulation valve to fine-tune fat content. It enables an extremely precise result with negligible cream give-away, thus leading to significant savings. For example, over one year, achieving a fat content precision +/- 0,015 % producers can save €183 750 per year.

Highly uniform product quality

Controlling standardization all the way from the pasteurizer's balance tank to the final product tank (prior to the filling machine), SpotOn technology makes your product composition even more accurate. The self-cleaning separator discharges typically every 45 minutes, causing the normal balance of fat in the product to be disturbed. SpotOn software compensates instantly and automatically for this disturbance, readjusting the fat content to the correct level. It also enables product changes on the fly, which adds to efficiency and saves time and product losses.

Integrating FOSS ProFoss 2 with the Tetra Pak Standardization unit via our proprietary software results in a unique, true in-line solution. It is the only solution for the continuous, accurate in-line measurement and control of milk standardization; with guaranteed performance on fat, protein, total solids, solids-non-fat and ratios.

It provides 1 200 real-time results per hour for fat, protein, total solids and solids-non-fat measurements, enabling fast, continuous reaction to data. Human error and uncertainty are virtually eliminated in sampling, delivering improved efficiency and product quality.
