Vietnam's first-ever packaging filling machine

We launched the first-ever packaging filling machine in Vietnam, marking the beginning of our 30-year journey in bringing safe and high-quality packaged food to the country.

We officially opened our office in Ho Chi Minh City in 1994, marking a significant milestone in our growth journey in Vietnam.

In partnership with Vinasoy, we pioneered the first-ever ready-to-drink soy milk.

1997

Launched 1 Litre UHT milk in Tetra Brik® Aseptic  1000 Slim

In 1997, we launched the Tetra Brik® Aseptic 1000 Slim packaging solution for the Vietnamese dairy industry for the first time. Thanks to the first TBA/8 aseptic filling line, consumers had an additional choice of UHT milk in convenient and budget-friendly 1-liter packaging for the whole family.

Tetra Fino launched in Vietnam

Introduced the first Tetra Fino® Aseptic in Vietnam market

In 1998, we introduced Tetra Fino® Aseptic packaging to Vietnam, providing dairy companies with a more efficient UHT solution in line with market needs.

Expanding the domestic parts supply chain

Expanded the domestic parts supply chain

In 2003,  we expanded our parts supply chain in Vietnam. Since then, customers no longer need to import parts for Tetra Pak equipment directly. Instead, we deliver them locally, enhancing response times, strengthening our local presence, and optimizing the supply chain.

Our official expansion to Hanoi

Our office was expanded to Hanoi, bringing support even closer to our customers in North Vietnam.

This year marked the consumption of the first billion packs of Tetra Pak beverage cartons in Vietnam.

We launched the first school milk program in Vietnam, ensuring children have access to safe and nutritious products.

A new packaging solution for sweetened condensed milk

We partnered with Vinamilk to introduce the first sweetened condensed milk in Tetra Brik® Aseptic 1000 packaging to Vietnam.

Launched the Tetra Pak® A3/Speed Line - The World’s First High-Speed Filling Machine in Vietnam

In 2008, we launched the first Tetra Pak® A3/Speed line in Vietnam - an innovative filling technology to drive operational efficiencies for Vietnamese market.

Launched the first Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 330 Square for the value-added beverages segment in Vietnam

In 2009, we introduced the first Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 330 Square packaging solution for the value-added beverages segment in Vietnam. Designed to fit perfectly in the hand, the Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 330 Square, with its unique octagonal shape, is the ideal choice for modern consumer products like smoothies, standing out on the shelf and suitable for both on-the-go consumption and home use.

The latest generation of UHT technology

In partnership with Moc Chau Dairy, we introduced state-of-the-art UHT production featuring exceptional engineering skills, advanced automation, and a hygienic aseptic design.

Our largest supply chain expansion

Expanded supply chain to deliver packaging materials directly to customers

We began the largest expansion of our supply chain in decades. Tetra Pak Vietnam is now fully authorised to handle customs clearance, providing full-service, door-to-door delivery for packaging materials across the entire nation.

First-ever beverage carton recycling line

First-ever beverage carton recycling line

We partnered with Dong Tien Binh Duong Paper Co. to launch the nation's first-ever beverage carton recycling line with a capacity of 9,000 tons per year.

World-class UHT dairy plant

World-class UHT dairy plant

We proudly partnered with Vinamilk in 2013 to establish a world-class UHT dairy plant in Binh Duong Province.

First FSC®-labelled packages in Vietnam

We introduced FSC® labelled packages for the first time in Vietnam. All our paperboard comes from wood from forests certified to Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™) and other controlled sources

Maintenance service contract with Vinamilk Mega

Vinamilk Mega, a leading dairy producer, signed the first services agreement contract with us to enhance operational reliability and performance across their factory.

Betrimex partnered with us to launch Vietnam's first coconut milk and water production plant, marking a significant milestone in food processing innovation.

Following the success of our school recycling program in Ho Chi Minh City, we expanded the program to Hanoi.

First-ever aseptic carton factory in Vietnam

We inaugurated Vietnam’s first-ever aseptic carton packaging material factory in Binh Duong. This state-of-the-art facility produces aseptic cartons for domestic and export markets in Southeast Asia and Oceania, with an expandable capacity of 20 billion packs annually.

Founding member of PRO Vietnam

We became one of the founding member of PRO Vietnam.Together with other stakeholders, we lead community-based recycling efforts in Ho Chi Minh City and other major cities.

Recognition and awards for driving sustainability in Vietnam

We received EuroCham’s Award for Best Sustainable Business Initiatives in recognition of our efforts in driving sustainability in Vietnam. We were also acknowledged as one of the Top 10 Sustainable Companies in the Manufacturing Sector by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

Launched Tetra Fino® Aseptic 100 MiM Ultra

In 2020, we introduced one of the latest innovations in Tetra Fino® Aseptic packaging: Tetra Fino® Aseptic 100 MiM Ultra in Vietnam market. With its convenient and sustainable pouch design, this packaging allows for easy distribution of aseptic liquid products like ice cream and concentrated coffee without the need for refrigeration or preservatives.

After a successful initial collaboration with Dong Tien Binh Duong Paper Co., we ramped up the recycling capacity for used beverage cartons to 17,000 tons annually.

Bloom., the F&B Innovation Centre, launched

Bloom. launched in Vietnam in 2023. Bloom. is our Food & Beverage Innovation Centre, built in partnership with DenEast. Bloom. offers 'small batch trials' for manufacturers worldwide, along with the latest in commercial large-batch production facilities.

Vietnam's first-ever AA+ BRCGS certification

Our packaging material factory in Binh Duong received Vietnam's first-ever AA+ grade BRCGS certification for exceptional food safety – a quality management system standard created by the British Retail Consortium in 1996 to protect consumers.

Installation of solar panels in Binh Duong

This was the year we installed solar panels at our state-of-the-art facility in Binh Duong. Close to 5,900 square metres of panels were added to our factory roof, generating around 1.9 thousand MWh of renewable energy annually and reducing our CO2 emissions by more than 700 tons.

Expansion of Binh Duong packaging material factory

We announced our decision to expand our packaging material factory in Binh Duong. With an investment of €97 million, we will be adding another production line, which is planned to be commissioned in Q3 2025.
